Terms, privacy, and what this is not
Written plainly, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Who you are dealing with
This service is operated by Certo LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, of 1309 Coffeen Ave Ste 3143, Sheridan, WY 82801. Write to us at hello@sendmethebid.com. When these terms say we or us, that is who they mean.
The software was built by a general contractor and is used on real jobs, which is why the site says so. That is who wrote it. It is not who is contracting with you here.
This is a starting point, not a final check
We compare, organize, and suggest questions. You verify. That division is not fine print, it is how the service works.
- An AI system reads your documents. It can misread, miss a line, or read a scanned page wrong
- Every line we pull is shown next to the contractor's own wording so you can check it, and checking it is your job, not an optional extra
- Our questions are suggestions. They are not a complete list, and no list is
- A comparison that looks clean does not mean a bid is complete, fair, or right for your job
- We do not catch everything. Treat this as a second pair of eyes, not the last pair
Anything that matters, confirm with the contractor and get it in writing. Anything structural, electrical, gas or safety related belongs with a licensed professional who can see the property.
You are responsible for what you accept. If a bid leaves something out and you agree to it, that is between you and your contractor.
What this service does, and does not do
We read the documents you upload and report what each one says, what they have in common, and where they differ. We then suggest questions you might ask.
- We do not tell you which contractor to hire, and we do not rank bids
- Today the service does not say whether a price is fair, high or low
- We do not inspect your property or verify that any work was done
- We are not an engineer, an inspector, an appraiser, a lawyer or an accountant
- We do not check a contractor's license, insurance or record. That is on you
- Automated reading of a document can be wrong. Every result is yours to check against the original before you act on it
- Reading and comparison are done by an AI system, not by a person reviewing your bids
Decisions about who to hire, what to pay and what to sign are yours. Anything structural, electrical, gas or safety related belongs with a licensed professional who can see the house.
Your documents and your data
Your projects, bids, and notes are yours. We do not sell them, and we do not show one customer's documents to another.
We do keep anonymized line item data: the description of a scope item, its price, the trade, and the rough area it came from. Names, addresses, contact details and the documents themselves are stripped out. That pooled data is how we will one day tell you how your numbers compare with what other people are paying, and we may license or sell it in aggregate, including as part of a sale of the business.
By using the service you grant us a license to process your uploads to provide it, and to create and use that anonymized, aggregated data indefinitely.
You can close your account at any time. Where the law where you live gives you a right to have your personal information deleted, write to us and we will handle it as that law requires. Some things are outside that: anonymized and aggregated data that can no longer be traced to you, records we are required to keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons, and backups, which are overwritten on their own schedule rather than on request.
If the business is ever sold, customer records and the anonymized data set transfer with it.
Payment
Subscriptions renew until you cancel. Cancel from Settings at any time; it stops the next payment and your access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Past periods are not refunded. Card details are handled by our payment provider, never by us.
Cancelling does not delete anything. Your projects, bids, and comparisons stay readable, and you can start comparing again by picking a plan back up. Closing your account is handled separately, under the data section above.
Limits
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim arising from your use of it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for the cost of construction work, change orders, disputes with a contractor, or decisions made using our output.
Your part
Upload only documents you are entitled to share. Do not upload anything unlawful. Do not resell or scrape the service. Keep your account details to yourself.
